This annual summer event beautifully illuminates the nights of the ancient city of Nara with lights. A "Toka" is a flower-shaped cluster that forms at the end of a candle wick, and it is said that the formation of this cluster brings good luck; hence, the event was named after it.Numerous candles bloom yearly into stunning light flowers in various locations throughout Nara Park. This year (2024), the event will be held at nine venues around Nara Park for ten days from August 5th (Mon) to August 14th (Wed). At the Nara Kasugano International Forum I・RA・KA venue, you can experience "One Guest, One Light," where you can place a candle cup anywhere you like and light it (reception from 19:00 to 21:00). Be sure to admire the candle lights that beautifully illuminate the nights of the ancient city of Nara.
